The Co-op raise funds to support Caudwell Children’s Get Sensory Packs
Over the past year Co-op members have been making generous donations to Caudwell Children and have raised a live changing £1,289.19 for the charity’s Get Sensory Packs.
Co-op members had the option of choosing Caudwell Children as their dedicated charity, and for every eligible product purchased from their stores a 1% donation was made.
Paul Baddeley, Co-op Pioneer for Chesterton, Keele, Silverdale and Waterhayes said “We have completed various initiatives in our stores to increase the number of customers who have membership cards.
“At one event in Silverdale, Lucy from Caudwell Children came down to assist us with our fundraising.”
Local charities and causes are encouraged to apply if they meet national Co-op criteria. The Co-op chooses who to support by using local knowledge of community needs.
Caudwell Children’s Get Sensory Packs offer children a broad range of sensory opportunities, therapeutic benefits and interactive experiences. The pack has been designed to support children living with a wide range of disabilities who are likely to benefit from sensory resources.
Lucy Shelly Assistant Grants Officer for Caudwell Children said “We are extremely grateful to the local Co-op community fund for their generous support. The money raised will help us to provide Get Sensory Packs for children who need help with their sensory processing.”
