If you want to fundraise for us but are struggling with what to do, we have plenty of ideas to inspire and help you on your fundraising journey.
Whether you are looking for a challenge, a way to test out your skills, or just want to bring people together for a bit of fun, you’ll have an incredible time fundraising for us and helping to change the lives of disabled and autistic children.

A
- Abseil – Conquer your fears with an abseiling challenge
- Aerobics Challenge – You can get fit and change children’s lives all at the same time.
- Afternoon Tea – Get your cake stand at the ready and host afternoon tea for your family and friends.
- Auction – Ask your family, friends or local businesses to donate items for you to auction off or you could ask your colleagues in your workplace to auction their services e.g., making the winning bidder cups of tea for a week.
B
- Bake Sale – Organise a bake sale and get your local community making cakes, cookies and other yummy treats to sell.
- Bingo – If you are familiar with the “dancing queen, two little ducks and clickety click” this could be the fundraiser for you. Host a bingo night for your family, friends and colleagues and see who will be the first to grab themselves a full house.
- Birthday Giving – Celebrate your birthday differently this year and ask for your family and friends to make a donation to Caudwell Children instead of giving you gifts.
- Book Sale – Raise money by selling unwanted books or arrange a book swap in your workplace, asking everyone who wants to participant to make a donation.
C
- Car Wash – Wash. Rinse. Shine. Repeat! Organise a car washing event for your local community.
- Cinema Night – Popcorn anyone? If you love films, you could host your very own Cinema Night.
- Coffee Morning – Get everyone together, bring some tasty snacks, drink a cuppa and raise some money for disabled and autistic children.
- Crafts – Why not get crafty and use your artistic skills to fundraise for Caudwell Children?
D
- Dance Event – Bust out some moves and see who can last the longest on the dancefloor or arrange a ballroom event in a community hall, the options are endless.
- Darts Tournament – 180! Keep your cool and set your sights on the bullseye. Whether you keep the games serious or want to have a bit of fun, ask for a donation to participate.
- Dinner Party –Cook up a storm in the kitchen, choose a theme and throw your very own dinner party. Invite family and friends to indulge in your culinary skills in exchange for a donation.
- Dog Walking – Get out and about with your dog, walk a distance of your choice and ask people to sponsor you or walk your friends’ dogs for a donation.

- Egg and Spoon Race – Organise an egg and spoon race and ask for a donation to participate.
- Eighties Night – Get into the groove and celebrate one of the best decades in history with an eighties night.
- Exercise Marathon – Hold a day long event consisting of different exercise classes and see who can go the distance.
- Eurovision Party - Throw the ultimate Eurovision Party, create a sweepstake and get everyone to represent a different country.

- Face Painting – Why not see if there are any local events in need of a face painter?
- Fashion Show – Get cat walk ready and show off your unique style in a local charity fashion show.
- Football Match – Organise a charity football match, ask spectators to make a donation and see who will score the winning goal.
- Fun Run - Plan a Fun Run for your colleagues, you could even dress up as funny characters.

- Games Night – Get together and play some classic board games or get competitive in your favourite video games. Ask each participant to make a donation to Caudwell Children and give the overall winner of the night a prize or trophy.
- Give Something Up – Ask people to sponsor you to give up something you love, whether that’s chocolate, social media or your favourite TV show.
- Golf Day – Can you score a hole in one? Whether you prefer getting outside and taking to the green or crazy golf is more your thing, you can raise lots of funds for charity by hosting a gold day.
- Guess how many: - Challenge people to guess how many sweets are in the jar, the closest guess wins the contents of the jar.

- Halloween Party – What a fang-tastic idea! Throw a Halloween Party and organise some spooky games for guests to take part in.
- Head Shave – Be Brave and make a difference to people’s lives. Get people to sponsor you to shave your head.
- Hike – Take a hike! Ask people to sponsor you and see how long you can trek for.
- Hula Hoop Challenge – See how long you can Hula Hoop for.

- Ice the cake competition – Test out your creativity with an ice the cake competition.
- Improv Night – Try something new and get everyone together to test out their improv skills.
- International Food Evening – Ask everyone to bring dishes from around the world to enjoy.
- Irish Night – Wear green, put on some traditional folk music and enjoy everything Irish!

- Jazz Night – If jazz music is your thing why not host a jazz night? You could even get some local jazz musicians involved.
- Jewellery Making – If you or anyone you know makes their own jewellery why not arrange a make your own jewellery workshop?
- Joke-a-thon – Crack out your best one-liners and dad jokes and exchange laughs for donations.
- Jumble Sale – Why not sell your old or unwanted items and donate the proceeds to Caudwell Children?

- Karaoke – Who doesn’t love a bit of karaoke? Get your friends together for an evening of fun and music.
- Kayaking – Take to the waters and find your flow with a kayaking race.
- Knitting – Grab your knitting needles and create some unique items to sell or unleash your competitive side and arrange a knitting competition.
- Kings and Queens Party – Throw a party and ask guests to dress up as different kings and queens throughout the ages.

- Learn something new – Get people to sponsor you to learn a new skill
- Lego Contest – See who can build the tallest tower or most impressive structure.
- Loose change collection – Ask people to donate any loose change they have.
- Lyrics Quiz - Organise a guess the missing lyrics quiz.
M
- Marathon – Test your limits and run a marathon for charity.
- Miles at home –Set yourself an exercise bike or treadmill challenge and get people to sponsor you.
- Mobile free day – Put down your phone! Challenge your family, friends and colleagues to go a day without using their mobiles.
- Murder Mystery – Embrace your inner detective with a murder mystery party and find out whodunnit.

- Name the… - Name the teddy bear, bunny or doll, whatever you decide get participants to guess the name and ask them for a donation per guess. The person who guesses the correct name will win the item.
- Netball Tournament – Do you play in goal attack or are you more of a goal keeper? If you loved netball at school why not take to the court again for a charity netball match?
- New Year’s Party – Bring in the New Year your own way! You choose the guestlist and music. Ask for an entrance fee and donate all proceeds to Caudwell Children.
- Non-uniform Day – Arrange a non-uniform day for colleagues.
O
- Obstacle Course – See who can complete the course in the fastest time.
- Open Mic Night – Host an open mic night where people can sing, perform standup comedy or read poetry.
- Old clothes sale – Why not sell your old clothes and donate the proceeds?
- Original Recipe Contest – Get everyone together and ask then to bring out their best family recipes, who will be crowned the winner?

- Pamper Day – Are you a trained beautician or hairdresser, if the answer is yes why not plan a Pamper Day for family and friends?
- Pancake Race – Who says you have to wait until pancake day? If you love pancakes why not plan a race?
- Penalty Shootout – Step up to the line for a sponsored penalty shootout.
- Pumpkin Carving – If you love the spooky season, why not get everyone together to test out their pumpkin carving skills?
Q
- Quad Bike Racing– If you are a thrill seeker why not get the adrenaline pumping in a quad bike race?
- Quickest time Contests – See who can complete a task in the fastest time.
- Quiet Hour – Challenge your family, friends or colleagues to stay quiet for an hour. For every noise made get them to donate to Caudwell Children.
- Quiz – Test everyone’s general knowledge with a quiz night and raise money for charity.

- Raffle – Ask people to donate unwanted items to the raffle and charge a fee per ticket.
- Read-a-thon – Challenge people to read a book for charity.
- Rock Climbing – Organise a teambuilding rock climbing challenge and see who can reach the top first.
- Rugby Sweepstake – Plan a rugby sweepstake with your colleagues, the person with the winning team will win a prize.

- Sky Dive – Take to the skies and experience the exhilarating feeling of free falling. Get sponsored for charity and tick something off your bucket list.
- Sponsored Silence – If you love to talk and are considered the office chatterbox why not get sponsored to stay quiet for the day?
- Sports Day – Have some fun and plan an office Sports Day.
- Swimming – Get swimming for Caudwell Children, whether you love being in a pool or open waters are more your thing, there is something to suit all abilities.
T
- Talent Show – Give people the chance to showcase their hidden talents at a talent show.
- Tea Party – There’s always time for tea, so why not plan a themed tea party?
- Treasure Hunt – Put together a treasure hunt in your local area.
- Tug-of-war - Grab some friends for a tug-of-war contest.
U
- Under the Sea Party – Any-fin is possible at your Under the Sea themed party.
- Unwanted Gift Swap – Did you get socks again for your birthday or an ugly jumper for Christmas? Well, you won’t be alone, round up your colleagues to do an unwanted gift swap. Ask all participants to donate a small fee to pick a new present!
- University Challenge – Host a University Challenge style event.
- Upcycling – Give your old items a new lease of life and transform them into something else that you can sell.

- Variety Show – Hold a local variety show and enjoy an evening of show stopping entertainment.
- Vegetable Growing – If you’ve got green fingers why not try your hand at growing vegetables to sell?
- Video Game Competition – Whether you like arcade games or playing on your console, why not see who’s the best when it comes to gaming?
- Vintage Sale – Have you got any 70’s, 80’s or 90’s clothes in your wardrobes that you could sell?
W
- Walking – Take on a walking challenge for Caudwell Children.
- Wear It – Send out a poll to your colleagues, ask them for a small donation and get them to nominate a wacky outfit for you to wear for an entire day.
- Window Cleaning – Offer to clean your neighbours’ windows for a donation.
- Wing Walking – Soar through the skies and take on a Wing Walk for Caudwell Children.
X
- Xbox Ban – Do you spend too much time playing video games? If yes, give up your Xbox for a week, month or even year and get people to sponsor you.
- X Factor Competition – Have you got the X Factor? Organise an X Factor style singing contest.
- X marks the spot – Throw a pirate-themed day and create maps that lead to buried treasure. Remember X marks the spot!
Y
- Yoga Marathon – Do you know what warriors, cobras and trees all have in common? Test out your yoga poses with a yoga marathon.
- Year to Remember - Make this a year to remember and do a different challenge everyday for a whole year.
- Yo-yo Contest – Can you rock the baby or go around the world? Crack out your best yo-yo skills in a competition.
Z
- Zero Waste Day – Challenge yourself to go fully zero waste for a week.
- Zip Wire – Are you an adrenaline junkie or just want to face your fear? There are lots of zip wires around the UK, so choose a challenge to suit you.
- Zombie Run – Only enter if you dare! Take on the walking dead and see if you can survive the zombie outbreak.
- Zumbathon – Feel the rhythm and take on a Zumbathon.
