You will be required to climb up to and down from the top wing of one of the biplanes. This is a steep climb of approximately 10ft / 3m and involves around 6 steps. There are purpose built steps to assist (if required) to the first wing. There are additional step ups inside the front cockpit, as necessary. If you are able, you can kneel and pull yourself up using the various struts and wires in order to get on to the top wing. Please be aware that this will require a degree of mobility in your legs and arms, it also requires some grip strength. You will be given full guidance by their Professional Wing Walker.
They are equipped to fly less able bodied guests. The staff are able to help you, as required, and we encourage members of your families, friends and carers to help also. We will fully brief everyone who will be near and around the aircraft. The climb can be taken slowly and broken down in small step-by-step stages.
