An affordable pack filled with sensory items that were specifically designed to support children with autism. Our Occupational Therapy and Support Team have selected sensory items that aid autistic children with hearing, vision and touch, as well as cognitive skills and learning.
The Autism Sensory Packs are suitable for children from 3 – 18 years of age. Any items within the pack that are deemed unsuitable for children under the age of 3 are stated on packaging and all items should be used with adult supervision.
A dark den tent, bubble lamp with fish, tambourine, shake and shine glitter lamp, tambourine, set of 4 x spikey rugby balls, fidget gel/glitter shapes, UV puffer ball, green ooze tube, UV products, glow in the dark twist, stretch and squidge ball and an ocean wave.
*Reasonable exchanges may be made depending on the availability of items. *
All of the items offer different sensory solutions and can be used accordingly to help your child. For example, the dark den has been added into the pack to provide your child with a safe space to retreat, increasing their independence in sensory and emotional regulation. The bubble lamp is designed to provide relaxing stimulation and eye tracking, and can also be used to teach counting and recognise different colours.
When applying for the Autism Sensory Pack, the child or young person that you are applying for does need to have a confirmed autism diagnosis.
The charity has created the Get Sensory Pack which can be applied for instead of the Autism Sensory Pack. These packs are available to children who have a confirmed disability or chronic illness.

We currently offer one pack per child. Families are able to apply for both the Autism Sensory Pack and Get Sensory Pack at the same time, but separate applications are required for both packs.
An application for the pack can be submitted via our website – www.caudwellchildren.com/autism-sensory-packs/
Once an application form is received, we aim to process this within a few days. A request for supporting information will then be sent out to you by email advising what information is required to complete your application.
After this information has been received, it can then take between 4 and 6 weeks for the us to process your application for a funding decision. This time frame is dependent on the number of requests we are processing at that time and the availability of funds.
A booklet is provided within the pack which outlines the contents and what things you can try to help your child along with occupational therapist tips.
We do not currently have workshops specifically for the Autism Sensory Packs.
We are pleased however, to offer a range of family workshops that focus on many of the common difficulties associated with raising a child with disabilities or autism.
