Excitement revs with Sporting Bears at Caudwell Children

Caudwell Children continues the celebration of “Summer of Sport” by welcoming back Sporting Bears Motor Club to host an exciting sports and classic car experience day for disabled and autistic children and their families.

Children and their families had the opportunity to buckle up and experience a passenger ride in some of the world’s most exclusive sports and classic cars. From a Lamborghini Gallardo to a Chevrolet Camaro Z28, children and their families enjoyed a diverse range of cars, each promising an unforgettable experience.

Taking place on Thursday 1st August, this is the third event that Caudwell Children has hosted in partnership with Sporting Bears Motor Club at the Caudwell International Children’s Centre in Keele, Newcastle-under-Lyme. One parent in attendance at the event said, “We come to every Sporting Bears event you host, the children love it that much.”

Sporting Bears Motor Club are a group of classic car and sports car enthusiasts dedicated to raising money for children’s charities through their Dream Rides. Since their inception in 1989, Sporting Bears Motor Club have raised over £3,350,000 for children’s charities in the UK through the commitment and generosity of their members. Alan Moss, chairman of Sporting Bears Motor Club, encapsulated their mission: “Raising smiles, raising money – that’s what we do.” Alan also shared how important events like this are to Sporting Bears Motor Club members: “The members like doing these closed events because we’re actually working with the families we support.”

Caudwell Children would also like to thank Coffee King for their sponsorship of the event, as well as the employees from Capula, who volunteered to support the event. Leo, from Capula, said, “The event today has been fantastic. It’s been amazing to see so many families and children having such a good time.”

Events like this offer not only a thrilling experience but also an opportunity for disabled and autistic children and their families to socialise in an inclusive and welcoming environment. One parent who attend the event said, “We have a child that’s currently on the pathway and she is totally obsessed with supercars. She loved the day and just to see how happy she is, was why we came. I’ve been telling my friends about it as we’ve been here and sending them pictures, especially the ones who have children with additional needs, I thought this would be great for them.”

Caudwell Children look forward to hosting similar events in the future, creating cherished memories for disabled and autistic children and their families. For information about upcoming events, please click here.
