Back in February, we proudly announced our partnership with Comfa Clothing. As we celebrate Neurodiversity Week, we’re shining a spotlight on the incredible mind behind the Fidget-T, Max, an autistic entrepreneur with a passion for innovation.
Comfa is born
In late 2021, Max had a groundbreaking idea while playing in his room with one of his many fidget toys. What if he could integrate fidgets into T-shirts? And just like that, Comfa was born.
Max’s story has gained national attention, including an appearance on ITV’s This Morning, where he shared how his idea is making life easier for neurodivergent individuals.
Max has always struggled with the way clothes feel, and his parents recognised that combining his fidget-T-shirt idea with sensory-friendly fabric could make a real difference for neurodivergent individuals. With the support of his family, Max turned his idea into reality, founding Comfa, a business dedicated to creating comfortable, sensory-friendly clothing.
As a young neurodivergent inventor, Max understands firsthand the difficulties of finding clothing that feels just right. With the help of his parents and younger brothers, he created Comfa with a clear mission, to design innovative, sensory-friendly clothing that helps people like him navigate everyday life with ease and confidence.
Comfa’s Mission
Comfa’s mission is to develop sensory solutions for the challenges faced by neurodivergent children and their families, empowering them to navigate and thrive in today’s overwhelming world. Their vision is a world where what you wear no longer causes irritation and aggravation, a world where everyone, neurodivergent or neurotypical, can feel comfortable and confident in their clothing.
As Comfa continues to grow, its mission has expanded beyond children’s clothing. The company is now developing sensory-friendly apparel for adults, ensuring everyone can experience comfort and confidence. Read more about Comfa’s journey in Derbyshire Times.
Caudwell Children and Comfa Partnership
Comfa’s latest innovation, the Fidget-T, was created in collaboration with Caudwell Children. To support this meaningful partnership, 50% of all profits from sales of the Fidget-T in “Caudwell Children Purple” will be donated directly to the charity.
Comfa shared “Caudwell Children do amazing work supporting neurodivergent children and their families, as well as others with additional needs, and we are delighted to be able to help support their cause.”
