How to Make a Referral
- Step 1: Ensure the child meets our eligibility criteria: they must be aged 4-11, without an existing autism diagnosis, and have a GP or professional referral supporting their application.

Autism Assessment FAQs
Our Autism Assessment Service provides comprehensive and multidisciplinary assessments in line with NICE guidelines. These assessments are accepted by schools and the NHS, offering clarity and support for children and their families.
Referrals can be made by health professionals, educational professionals, or any other specialist working with the child. Parents/carers are also encouraged to approach professionals to facilitate referrals.
Referrals can be made via our secure online referral form. You’ll need to include the child’s information, your observations, and any supporting documentation. For more details, please refer to our referral application requirements
The child must be aged 4-11, without an existing autism diagnosis, and have a GP or professional referral supporting their application.
Following a referral:
- The referral will be reviewed to ensure it meets the Autism Assessment criteria.
- If the family is eligible for charity funding or self-funding, they will be required to make a payment before the assessment can be booked.
- Our Applications Team will send paperwork packs to the family and the child’s school. If the family requires support, they can contact our Applications Team.
- The family will complete a Risk Support Plan to outline the support needed during the assessment process.
- The family will be contacted to schedule the child’s two-day Autism Assessment.
Our assessments are available as self-funded at £2,500 or 80% charity-funded options starting from £500. Flexible payment plans are available to make the process more accessible.
A family can apply for an Autism Assessment only if the previous assessment report clearly indicates the need for further assessment or review.
Yes, our assessments are fully NICE-aligned and recognised by schools and the NHS.
