Ellie is a vibrant nine-year-old, full of life with an enormous love for art and sports. She faces challenges every day, living with epilepsy and cerebral palsy, yet she doesn’t let this get in her way. Ellie plays football with a disability team and dreams big—she’s always wanted to ride a bike, just like her friends.
Then, after a friend’s encouragement, Kayleigh reached out to Caudwell Children. The application process was simple and supportive, and soon, their lives changed forever. When Ellie’s adaptive trike arrived, her joy was indescribable. Finally, she could join her friends on those long-dreamed-of bike rides, her face lighting up with every pedal.
Kayleigh said “Ellie likes being different but sometimes it bothers her, but now having her trike she feels like one of the big kids. She’s put a little basket on the front so she can take her favourite toy out for an adventure.”
