Six-year-old Jackson is a happy and curious child with a love for the outdoors. Despite multiple diagnoses, including global developmental delay and hypotonia, an overarching condition has yet to be identified, making him a “SWAN” (Syndrome without a name). While his medical journey remains uncertain, one thing is clear: Jackson is full of life, eager to explore the world around him.
Jackson’s family wanted to give him more independence and opportunities to experience the world beyond his wheelchair. When his physiotherapist suggested a specialist trike to help build his strength and mobility, they turned to Caudwell Children for support.
Jackson’s mum, Rebecca discovered Caudwell Children and applied for a trike to help develop his strength and giving him independence and freedom at the same time.
Rebecca, Jackson’s mum, discovered that applying for the trike was simple, with a friendly team ready to guide her every step of the way.
“Jackson absolutely loves going out on his trike, he is so happy when he sees it and has the biggest smile as he rides along with his brothers. Jackson’s days are happier, the trike provides a whole new experience for him exploring the local area but it also is helping to make his legs nice and strong.
